Wednesday, 11 January 2017. Members of the Sikh community in Lautoka, Ba and Sigatoka gathered at the    Lautoka Sikh Temple [Gurdwara] last weekend to mark the 350th birth anniversary of their 10th guru Gobind Singh.

Lautoka Sikh Community president Bayant Singh said the 10th Guru was a special deity [!?!?] in the Sikh religion.

“Gobind Singh was a warrior saint and the 10th guru of Sikhism,” he said. “He was not only a warrior saint, but a highly acclaimed poet as well.” About 200 members of the Sikh community attended the event.
