Man in Blue – Guru Manyo Granth

The underneath text was part of an email exchange between Sardar Indarjit Singh, Sardar Gurmukh Singh and the ‘Man in Blue’

Although we broadly agree on the subject under discussion, Indarjit Singh used the opportunity to launch a personal attack on me and Gurmukh Singh as advisors to the Sikh Federation.

Guru Manyo Granth

Dear Sardar Gurmukh Singh,

Our noble friend Sardar Indarjit Singh confuses advisor with dictator.

We can give advise, but we cannot make decisions for the Sikh Federation.

There is an obvious reason for the stance of the Sikh Federation. The Taksal is associated with the resistance against the Indian government under Jarnail Singh, the then leader of that institution.

But even then, the fact that they were right to oppose Indira Gandhi, doesn’t mean that they were right on issues like the Dasam Granth or the Rehat Maryada.

And obviously the Taksal under Baba Thakur Singh was not like the Taksal under Jarnail Singh, and now the man in charge is Harnam Singh, who not only supports the Badal parivar but also instigated the murder of somebody who dared to disagreed with him.

I could respect Baba Thakur Singh, in spite of disagreements, but all Sikhs should despise Harnam Singh Dhumma, without following the Baba on the other side of the argument.

Guru Gobind Singh put the Guru Granth Sahib on the Guru’s throne, not the Sant Samaj, not the Taksal (Damdami nor Damdama), not even the Panj Piare or the Akal Takhat.

In the misl time there was a sensible set up of the Sarbat Khalsa, where the Jathedar of the Budha Dal, not of the Akal Takht, and the Panj Piare played a role, but were not in charge of decision making.

Guru Panth under the guidance of Guru Granth, why is this so difficult to understand ?
